Radio Browser station records

RadioFM Pro synchronizes public records from Radio Browser. A record can include station identity, stream addresses, homepage, country, state, language, tags, codec, bitrate, HLS status, coordinates, public votes, click activity, and source-health information.

The fields are maintained outside RadioFM Pro and can be incomplete, duplicated, stale, or incorrect. RadioFM Pro normalizes values, rejects unsafe URLs, deactivates records that no longer qualify for the active catalogue, and preserves missing values rather than filling them with invented facts.

GeoNames place matching

GeoNames supplies city and country reference data under its published terms.

RadioFM Pro:

• treats the exact zero-latitude and zero-longitude pair as missing;
• requires the station country to match the GeoNames country;
• associates a coordinate with a city only inside the configured maximum distance;
• uses a name fallback only for an exact normalized city or alternate-name match;
• leaves the city empty when confidence rules are not met.

A matched place supports navigation. It does not prove a studio address, transmitter location, reception area, service market, or broadcast license.

Stream status

A source-health flag means the stream responded when the upstream directory last checked it. The catalogue synchronization records that source status. RadioFM Pro shows playback as active only after the current browser successfully connects.

Broadcasters can replace streams, change formats, restrict regions, or go offline between checks. A recent check is evidence of recent response, not a permanent availability guarantee.

Ordering and counts

Votes, click activity, and catalogue popularity can help order discovery results. They are not official audience measurements, editorial scores, listening tests, or endorsements. Counts change as records synchronize and should be read with the visible catalogue date.

Images and external websites

Station favicons and broadcaster homepages are third-party resources. RadioFM Pro accepts only secure image URLs for direct display and falls back to a text mark when an image is missing or fails. External sites have their own privacy, advertising, subscription, and rights policies.

Corrections and licensing

Submit data corrections through the contact page. Include a reliable official source when possible.

Radio Browser, GeoNames, broadcaster marks, station streams, and map imagery have separate licenses and attribution requirements. RadioFM Pro does not apply one blanket content license to third-party records or media.
